Civil and Structural Team
We are currently looking for a Structural engineer. This is a full time office based design role.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 but preferably 5 years structural design experience. They will be preparing to achieve chartered status with Engineers Ireland/I Struct E
They need to have strong design capabilities in steel and concrete framed structures and sub structure design. They should also be able to design storm and foul drainage systems.
Experience of life science projects would be helpful but not essential. Strong and clear communication skills are important.
They will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment so they will need to demonstrate an awareness of the collaborative process within the design of building structures.
We will not consider candidates that do not currently have the appropriate permits or visas to work in Ireland/EU.

We are currently looking for a Junior Structural Engineer: This is a full time office based design role.
Candidates should have 2-3 years post graduate experience in structural design and in particular the design for steel and concrete structures and sub structures. Good working knowledge of structural analysis modelling and design suites is essential( Tekla)
Candidates will be expected to be progressing towards Engineers Ireland Chartership and have a keen interest in Engineering and the Construction Industry.
Strong and clear communication skills are important.

We are currently looking for a a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineering Design Technician with previous highways or small to medium scale civils projects and drainage experience. This role is office based and is a full-time permanent role.
You will understand the importance of providing cost effective drawings in accordance with the brief provided, whilst adhering to time frames and financial constraint.
Candidates should have a degree or higher diploma in civil engineering and a minimum of 5 years’ experience on design/drafting projects. An excellent understanding of AutoCAD and Site 3D is essential and a good understanding of Microdrainage would be ideal but is not essential. Candidates should be fully conversant with civil engineering standards, have a good understanding of Planning and Building regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to act as Point Person from the BMS Project Team as it regards to Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, Life Safety & Security systems Discipline
• E & I Engineer/Technical Support/Special Systems (GMP/Non GMP buildings), responsible for review of all Design deliverables from Engineering firms including Drawings, Datasheets, specifications and Engineering Lists.
• E & I Engineering design support for all in-house projects, design calculations, kw loading, circuit allocation, drawing redlines, developing instrument data sheets, Instrument Index, I/O lists, Test docs, certification process.
• E & I Drawings: SLD’s, Loop drawings, schematics, system architecture, layout drawings etc.
• Assures all design & project work for E & I Systems is completed in compliance with all Regulatory requirements including, Quality (cGLP/GMP’s), EHS, Global Engineering, design & construction directives, requirements & procedures, as well as all Local Regulatory requirements.
• Represents BMS on the design of all E & I Systems and confirms design decisions with BMS site Electrical SME.
• Participates in System Design Reviews, 3D Model Reviews and HAZOP’s.
• Participate in equipment FAT’s and SAT’s.
• Participates in construction walkdowns. Responsible to evaluate all the drawings and technical data regarding power, lighting, controls, functional safety, CE Compliance etc. required for the implementation of the project.
• Point person for Vendor review for all Electrical & hardwired controls. Vendor Packages- including GMP facilities, Cold rooms and freezers, as well as those for the Office and Labs.
• Acts as a consultant to the Engineering firm to ensure design meets BMS requirements.
• Partners with Engineering firm counterparts to identify opportunities to reduce cost and schedule.
• Leads data/comments gathering on behalf of BMS; expedites decision making affecting design in support to engineering deliverables in line with project schedule.
• Leads E & I Walkdown Team in relation to punch list closure both pre-M/C and during the CQV execution phase.
• Responsible for development of Bid-Packages for the procuring of E & I equipment and E & I related construction.
Responsibilities include:
Advising Project Manager on BMS expectations for bid package contents.
Assuring that project deliverables truly capture existing conditions and site particularities.
Assuring Bid Package Quality and Timely completion.
Assisting Project manager during Pre-Bid Meeting. Evaluation of Construction Bids.
Updates Project Team on Bid Package Progress.
Responsibility for the Electrical Design elements of in-house projects.
• Assist the Projects team in the resolution of discipline related technical questions, RFIs, Client request, Vendor Submittals, etc.
• Accountable to maintain BOD design intent throughout project execution.
• Accountable to budget and schedule attainment in disciplines under responsibility or support the project manager for the project.
• Reviews and approves commissioning protocols associated with area of expertise.
• Supports Project and CQV team on troubleshooting during start-up/commissioning activities.
• Partners with maintenance to develop and procure spare parts.
• Provides Technical guidance on the development of plant maintenance programs.
• Liaise with CQV and Lead Scheduler in relation to schedule creation and management for all Electrical Systems, ensuring all correct predecessors and successors are in place.
• Ensure Commissioning readiness of all Electrical, controls & Instrumentation Systems and work with drawing office to get the master docs updated on Eng Doc Control.
• Liaises with other disciplines to ensure alignment and coordination across disciplines.
• Liaise with all Project Groups (Design/CM/CQV/Automation/Process/SMEs/Ops/Maintenance/PMs) to ensure all E & I Systems are managed appropriately for the entire Project Lifecycle.
• Provides feedback on the procurement of discipline related packages, ensuring that items purchased are to the correct specification as outlined by the BMS site Electrical SME and orders are placed in line with schedule requirements
• Works closely with the project team and system owners to develop a baseline schedule, which supports project completion date.
• The role will also focus on the elements of the schedule relating to facility readiness including procurement, commissioning, Training and Qualification along with the review/approval of documentation in support of these activities.
• Ensure system is thoroughly checked on receipt at the construction site or site warehouse for damage and shipment completeness. Make sure it is stored in a way that provides for easy retrieval and protection.
• Ensure proper installation details and studies are developed and that the system is protected at the soonest opportunity following installation.
• Participate with Project team and site contractors on the inspection and approval of First of a kind (FOK).
• Coordinate with Project team and system owners during walk downs and agree the categorisation of punch items, sign off mechanical completion certification.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Qualified Electrician (FETAC accredited) with industrial experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent qualification with Trade Background.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry including experience with design, construction commissioning and operation for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of Industrial facility power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, Earthing & bonding, lightning protection, security, hazardous areas and fire alarm.
• Extensive understanding of all applicable Electrical Engineering codes, and acceptable industry standards.
• Experience with Instrumentation, controls & Functional Safety.
• Experience with complex projects and working in or around operating facilities.
• Experience in troubleshooting and providing E & I Technical support for E & I Systems in a GMP Environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff.
